Our team covers mechanical, electromagnetic, manufacturing, system integration and commissioning.
Roberto Bonifazi (Cofounder and CEO). He is the founder and CEO of Comeb SrL, a precision mechanics company specializing in ultra-high vacuum processing, particle accelerators, and RF components. With approximately 35 years of experience in precision mechanics, he has extensive expertise in traditional and CNC machining, vacuum welding, vacuum brazing, CNC programming, 2-3D CAD design, dimensional and vacuum testing, as well as ultra-high vacuum. He is experienced in business organization and management. He has mechanically designed and implemented RF systems and diagnostics for various international research entities and private industries.
David Alesini (Cofounder), Ph.D. in Electromagnetism in 2003 at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’. He is director of technological research at the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) and has been working in the Accelerator Division of the National Laboratories of Frascati of INFN for over 22 years. His work involves the design, testing, and operation of particle accelerators. He has developed and implemented numerous components that are now installed in accelerator machines operating in Italy and at other Research Institutes or International Universities. He has expertise in radiofrequency structure design, particle beam dynamics, vacuum systems, and diagnostics, with a particular focus on electron accelerators.
Luigi Faillace (Cofounder), Ph.D. in Electromagnetism from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ in 2010. He worked for ten years at a private company in the USA operating in the field of particle accelerators, specializing in the development of various high-power devices, such as RF and DC electron sources, cathodes (e.g., carbon nanotubes); accelerating structures for standing-wave and traveling-wave linacs, both in copper and superconducting materials, for generating X-rays for research, industrial, and medical applications; RF deflecting cavities for the manipulation and diagnostics of accelerated charged particle beams; various diagnostic systems for characterizing such beams. Currently, he is a technological researcher of the Accelerator Division at the National Laboratories of Frascati of INFN.
